One Shot Wednesday.

This glass ball perches in the crook of some gnarled rhododendron branches. It’s a very shady spot in my garden: this roost under the dense foliage of this old shrub. Yet, light not only attains purchase amid these inner reaches, it dominates. Even on a cloudy day, the flecks of light set this glass to sparkling. Like the Earth Day marble, some of the details to be seen in this scene were not revealed to me until I looked at the photo: the reflection of the house for example. Just goes to show, I’ve much work to do on my powers of observation.
