Dazzling. Remarkably warm. Bountiful. This Spring is proving to be fruitful for both plants, bees, and photography. As the first of the fledged hummingbirds arrived in the yard this week, so too did the iris blooms. But the avens (geum) which was first to bloom carries on with its vivid orange, subdued here only by fading daylight.
