The campsites at Fay Bainbridge State Park are a bit spare, to say the least. Just wide enough to park a vehicle and pitch a tent and lined-up like cereal boxes at the grocery store. But, they’re set in a biologically rich environment. Beach in front of you, Douglas fir and Western red cedar forest behind you. You’ll fall asleep to the sound of waves, awake to bird song and if you’re really lucky, you’ll find a lovely message from a previous, and very wise, camper.
