Welcome Equinox

Autumn does have her paint brush out. Although the deciduous leaves are still spared fall’s artistic efforts, the fall-blooming Colchicum are carrying their own promise of color into the shorting days.  Just as crocus trumpet the start of spring, their fall-blooming counterpart signals the other Equinox.  The pastel hues of the Colchicum are a near protest to the bright jewel colors of the leaves coming in their footsteps.  A last little reminder of the soft summer breezes, warm summer sun, and gentle summer rains of Oregon.
