Let’s distinguish between invent and discover, shall we? No matter your view of creation, I bet we agree that it wasn’t mankind who created geometry. Mankind created an understanding of geometry but we did not invent geometric form. Geometry exists with or without humans. It’s present in nearly all of nature. Sometimes more blatantly as geometric shapes are well-defined: triangles, circles, ovals, arcs, even a few straight lines. Geometry manifests in patterns, texture, even color. Yes, the color blue for example is present in some animals (butterflies, birds) only because of geometry – in those cases, it is not a pigment but instead a geometric shape that refracts light especially to create blue.
